G'day, I'm Mick Hobson. Thanks for visiting the Ned's Vineyard website.

Established in 1995, Ned’s Vineyard is situated in the heart of the Pyrenees region, in the beautiful Landsborough Valley, just over two hours drive west from Melbourne and an hour from Ballarat and the Grampians.

The red clay and white quartz that are characteristic of the district combine with the climate to produce the small, flavoursome fruit that make Ned’s Vineyard Shiraz unique.

Because the Pyrenees region is only an hour from the Grampians, its cool climate is perfect for growing Shiraz. There’s very little summer rainfall, making the flavour of the fruit consistent year after year as I can control their water intake, encouraging the concentration of their rich flavour.

The Ned’s Vineyard 2004 and 2005 shiraz are complex, elegant wines with fine soft tannins.

Ned's Vineyard uses Doug's Wine Business (03 9427 1200) as our wine agent.

We also use Olinda Cellars (Shop 7/540 Mount Dandenong Tourist Road, Olinda, Victoria, 3788).

Ned's Vineyard

“Ned’s Vineyard is very well regarded by the local winemaking and grape growing community and all the wines made from it have been exceptional.  We will see and hear (and drink) a lot more from Ned’s Vineyard in the future.” - Michael Unwin
