Pyrenees Shiraz 2004

A perfect blend of old and new world winemaking techniques, Ned’s Vineyard’s Shiraz has an elegant style, a lovely nose and a good palate weight. And like any fine wine, if you have the time, decanting enhances its rich flavours.

Great with beef ragout, lamb fillets or a juicy rump steak.

Colour: A deep, lively, ruby red.

Aroma: Allspice, star anise, soft berry, strawberry, blueberry and hint of cigar box.

Palate: Blood plum, lovely acid and oak balance, textured tannins with slight caramel and brown sugar.

Cellaring: Drink now or can cellar for up to ten years.

Winemaker: The award winning Michael Unwin's experience in winemaking extends across 16 years and several countries including France , New Zealand and Australia .

 

Pyrenees Shiraz 2005

Soon to be released:

An elegant soft, velvety style with understated sweet fruit.

Great with goats cheese salad or an eye fillet. When you finish one bottle you'll be looking for another.

Colour: A deep red.

Aroma: Poached cherries, toasty almonds, white pepper.

Palate: Mid palate complexity and good weight with a long finish, fine soft integrated tannins.

Cellaring: now to ten years.

Winemaker: The award winning Michael Unwin's experience in winemaking extends across 16 years and several countries including France , New Zealand and Australia .
